# invoice.upcoming.due

> Make sure to read the [Webhooks Overview](https://docs.salesbricks.com/api-reference/webhooks/overview.md) for important
> information about signature verification.

## Purpose

The `invoice.upcoming.due` webhook is triggered before an **Invoice** reaches its due date, on your reminder schedule for upcoming-due invoices.

Set the schedule under **Settings → Notifications**. There is no default, so the webhook never fires until you set one. Invoice reminders must also be enabled for your account.

Each step in the schedule sends one event, so a schedule of 7 days and 1 day before the due date sends two events per invoice.

## Timing and delivery

* **Scheduled when the invoice is issued**, at the same time as [`invoice.start`](https://docs.salesbricks.com/api-reference/webhooks/invoice/start). Steps already in the past are skipped.
* **Skipped when there is nothing to collect.** At send time Salesbricks checks the invoice again and sends nothing if it has been voided or paused, or has nothing left to pay. Invoices for \$0 never get reminders.

## Payload format

Your configured endpoint will receive an [Invoice](https://docs.salesbricks.com/api-reference/webhooks/invoice/payload.md) payload. It doesn't say which step fired; compare `due_at` with the time you receive the event if you need to know how far out the reminder is.
